For several decades, the breast conserving surgery is increased because of the early detection of early stage of breast cancer and the needs of cosmetics after breast surgery. The RadioFrequencyAblation technique is standard for the liver metastasis of colorectal cancer, the primary hepatocellular carcinoma. The safety and effectiveness of the RFA for the early breast cancer instead of surgery is now evaluated as the clinical trial (Multi-center study to evaluate the efficacy and to standardize RFA for early breast cancer; UMIN000008675). For this trial, we finished the phase 2 trial (A multicenter prospective study of image-guided radiofrequency ablation for small breast carcimonas: UMIN000008608). Such trials are supported theoretically by feasibility study introduced each institutes which take part in these trials. In our institute, 5 patients who received RFA and mastectomy immediately and 7 patients who received RFA with no resection after ablation. After ablation, the image examination were observed according to the protocol. In this study, we evaluated the cosmetic and imaging change during long-term follow up.
