ゲノミクスを用いた難治性婦人科がんにおける分子標的・バイオマーカーの探索

Despite the fact that standard therapeutic strategies have been well developed for treatment of ovarian and uterine cancer, incidence and mortality of these malignancies have been still increasing. Ovarian or uterine cancer represents heterogeneity that arises as a consequence of varied somatic mutations and epigenetic changes. To develop a better treatment strategy, it is critical to segregate a biologically homogenous subgroup and to identify a molecular target and a biomarker for the subgroup. Using genomic technologies, recent efforts such as The Cancer Genome Atlas and International Consortium of Cancer Genome have stratified the complexity and identified critically deregulated pathways for ovarian and uterine cancer. Nevertheless, there is still a challenge how to translate these basic findings to bedside applications. Our ultimate goal is to provide a patient an individualized medicine as a standard care through integration of genomic findings with clinico-pathological parameters. Toward this aim, we show our recent efforts including identification of a molecular target for ovarian and uterine carcinosarcoma.
